This one is painted on a small drum from a reference supplied by the client, as usual in gouache.
It's the cutest little thing, made from a gourd by my client, decorated with beads, feathers and fine string, it works too. I wish I'd made it.
My client, a delightful creative lady, has also decided to come to classes at our local craft shop so she can learn to paint her favourite things 'faeries'.

Thanks Roger, as you probably know, I adore owls, imagine my delight when hubby called me up to the shearing yesterday morning and there was a Barn Owl in there perched up in the rafters, it was still there last night. A pity my photos didn't turn out too good, too far away
